And it begins!

I promised I would share a little about our new place before the move proper begins tomorrow, and having just signed the lease yesterday, it feels like a good time to do so.  we’ve moved a few small things over already and I’m pleased to announce that Mr. seat of his Diapers is thrilled about the new back yard.  As a matter of fact, it’s nearly impossible to get him out of said yard.

The floorplan for the new house is above and as you can see, it’s pretty spacious.  I wish I had the time today to post a few pictures of the interior of the house, but unfortunately I’m already in the process of making it rather ugly, what with the boxes and packages that are strewn all over from the items we don’t want the movers to mess with. (It’s a short move, they tend not to be as careful) and the items that they cannot move by law. (lighter fluid, oils, open liquid bottles…  Oh, say about 1/4 of the kitchen!)

As for the layout… Well, the bedroom at the bottom of the plan will be the new office.  My wife has actually requested the walk-in closet as her writing room, as she prefers to be tucked away in her own world when writing.  That’s OK with me, though I still say that there is plenty of room for both of us in there.

For now that’s all I can spare the time to tell you, dear readers.  I’m off to take another load over and jump back in to the pre-move preparations here.  The Movers will be here at 0700 tomorrow, so there’s a lot to do, and very little time to do it in.
