Online casino helps in Chinese Earthquake effort.

I don’t usually promote any form of online gambling (or any gambling, for that matter.) To be honest, it’s just not my thing.  but when I heard that BackgammonMasters online was going to be donating $5.00 for every dollar spent buying in on their games for one month to UNICEF, I had to pass the word along.

Again, I don’t promote gambling, but if you like to play backgammon and you’re willing to pony up anywhere from $4.50 to $200.00 to help with a charity effort, I can’t see the harm in that at all. Really, how can a game of backgammon that has all proceeds donated to charity be wrong?

Granted, most of the casino’s business comes from the Orient, but the amount of help they’ve agreed to give is something that I don’t believe I’ve seen before, especially from an organization that is designed around the principle of making as much money as possible.

The offical press release thanks the staff of the casino for being generous.  I’d like to go ahead and give my thanks as well.  UNICEF is in business to help children, and God knows there are a lot of children in China right now that can use all the help we as human beings can provide.

Jerry is the epitome of cooking without a plan. As a matter of fact, he secretly wishes he could participate in an Iron Chef America episode, simply because it is one place where he wouldn't feel at all out of place. Not knowing the ingredients beforehand doesn't make him nervous at all. Of course, the reality is that he'd probably lose and look entirely foolish, but hey, it would still be fun!
