And has anyone else noticed she uses the phrase "just like that" an average of 6 times per episode??? So irritating. The way she describes what she is doing as she is doing it should be left to things requiring explanation instead of: fill the cup with water...wash my hands...
But the way she pronounced words ending in ch is the worst. I can't tell if she has a speech impediment from her Stonehenge teeth or what...chunsh. Just like that. As annoying as barefoot contessa "turning up the volume" on everything she cooks, and I love her, but she says it like twice an episode - and always with a thumbs up gesture.

I agree! Aunt Sandy drives me crazy! She is like a step-ford wife and her recipes are rather pathetic. What makes me really crazy is her use of "little, cute and nice". Everything is little, cute or nice....on and on.......She even makes my 11 year old son crazy with inane babbling.....so fake.

The problem with powder in butter sauces is that they don't absorb enough moisture. if you were to mix the onion and garlic powders in a tiny amount of water before whisking it into the melted butter, it should have a milder, less stomach destroying flavor. Going with fresh garlic and making your own is always best though.

wow, sounds really good! I love fried rice but haven't ever made it at home. We recently got an outside gas powered wok and this sounds do-able and delicious.
