Our store has that sale quite often. I always stock up when I can get that much chicken for 3 bucks. My hubby is a dark meat guy so it's a great deal. I bag out the quarters, putting 3 in each ziploc bag. Then I freeze them so I can just pull them out when I need them. This week I did a crockpot chicken using dry white wine. For some reason I end up using more red wine when I cook, but the white was delicious and I think I'll have to use it more often. I can't wait to try this recipe.

That's why this is called "Restaurant Style." At home it's drippings only and I don't bother with butter. It's not necessary at all ;)

Wow that looks GORGEOUS!! and delicious. My little one is only 4 and she loves veggies, her Dad on the other hand... my trick for squeaking in veggies he doesn't always love is to chop them really small, or puree them and add it to the sauce, or shred it and add it in. Spaghetti is a FANTASTIC way to add in random veggies ~ zucchini being my favorite. Just shred it up with the cheese grater and it pretty much melts in so they can't see it! Magic I tell ya!

I'm going to put this on the menu next week, it looks fantastic. :)

I was born and raised in the south and that is totally how it's done. Except* substitute the butter for bacon grease, sausage grease or pan drippings from your chicken fried meat of choice. I add a pat of butter (REAL butter, not that fake yellow junk that comes in a tub) at the end.

I really enjoy Sandra Lee's show.

Most positive people don't blog negatively about other people who are different. When I noted the overwhelming negativity, I couldn't resist offering my two cents toward her defense!

Yes, Sandra Lee is at times hilarious to watch (see the YouTube "Cocktail Time!" video -- it puts me into stitches!). Still, her recipes are quite innovative -- and delicious. Her unique appeal is simply "Let me give the busy, budget-conscious cook with less, more to offer".

She's a strong woman who overcame many hurdles to get where she is today. I respect her unwavering tenacity, her creativity, and her individuality.

Rock on, Aunt Sandy!
