Blog populrity

Ben raised a question in a comment about the time it takes to grow a blog.  In a strange coincidence, I was just reading a post about the same subject.  It’s a short article titled Don’t Forget: Even Big Blogs Started Out Small from Zero and Up.  I think it’s well worth a read if you are looking to “Make it” in the blogging world.

At the very least it should be a bit inspirational.

Jerry is the epitome of cooking without a plan. As a matter of fact, he secretly wishes he could participate in an Iron Chef America episode, simply because it is one place where he wouldn't feel at all out of place. Not knowing the ingredients beforehand doesn't make him nervous at all. Of course, the reality is that he'd probably lose and look entirely foolish, but hey, it would still be fun!

  1. Thanks for linking to my post :) I was very surprised to find out those stats, but it’s nice to know them for whenever it feels like my blog isn’t going as well as it needs to be!

  2. Very cool to post this link on your blog. Wouldn’t it be great if there was someone to give you daily affirmations like, “You are the best blogger in the world” or “Stay positive, readers will come!… or maybe “F*ck blog stats, who needs ‘em!” I’ve realized that checking out blog stats is like weighing yourself. If you concentrate on the number, you may be disappointed. It’s good to remind yourself that it takes a bit of hard work and time to build up steam. Thanks for sharing this article. Great blog… i’m gonna poke around a bit.
