Human Growth Hormone(HGH) therapy is , like many other “newer” treatments, in the middle of heated debate in both public and medical communities. Part of this negativity stems from cases in the 1950’s in which hormones produced from donor glands were found to cause illness many years after treatment. While this is no longer the case, hormone therapy is sometimes viewed in the same negative light as steroid use, though the two are not strictly related.

My personal feeling is that HGH should be readily available as a treatment option in the hands of doctors. My wife is on the other side of the argument and thinks that the risks outweigh any benefits. Growth hormones have been shown to positively tread such conditions as morbid obesity, bone density issues, cholesterol, skin deterioration due to environmental exposure and many others. I personally would be willing to take the risk, would you?
