High speed Internet access for life and a chance at a free Wii

I don’t usually cover contests and the like here, but this one is just too good to pass up, especially if you live in an area covered by Charter Cable.

Charter is offering a chance to bid on high speed Internet access for life. Yes… I said for life. One lucky bidder will get Charter’s accelerated high-speed Internet access, a cable modem and a wireless router delivered to their home and never have to pay high speed internet charges again.

If you’ve got some change to spare, bidding starts on March 12th 2008 and begins at $10.00. There is no reserve on the auction, so technically if you were the only one to bid (not likely) for the service, you would get the package for just $0.00. I would assume that the winner will pay more, but then, I pay more than that monthly, and would be pretty happy to pay a year’s worth of charges to get the next 15 or twenty years of service for free.

If you pre-register for the auction you will automatically be entered for a drawing for a Nintendo wii. Winning the Wii is not dependent on bidding, so if you’re just looking for a chance at that, go sign up!

What are you waiting for?!?! Click Here for a Chance to Win a Nintendo® Wii™!

And no, I won’t be in the running against you. I don’t live in charter’s service area…
