So you’ve got a formal occasion coming up. It might be a school dance, a wedding or God Forbid a funeral. I’ll be hoping that it’s a dinner party celebrating a good friend or family member’s anniversary or promotion. Regardless of the affair, you’re going to have to look your best.

You can’t go wrong at a cocktail party with the overwhelming queen of evening dresses, the LBD, or Little Black Dress. Every woman should have one of these at their disposal at a moment’s notice, but just as we men tend to forget to update our suits, those dresses sometimes go untouched for a while, and may be dated. (shouldn’t you go have a look at that?)

Of course there are other dresses that you should consider, from ball-style to cocktail dresses. For women, the process of building the perfect ensemble for an evening out seems a bit daunting to me. All we men have to worry about is whether or not it’s time to replace our dress shoes. (Or in my case, my dress boots and dress shoes. Oxfords, if I have my choice. One Black and one brown pair, ready at all times.)

Food and fashion go together! Eat like a king and look good doing it!
