Some people get excited about jewelry. For some it’s new geek toys that get their blood pumping. For a foodie, it’s new kitchenware, and I just got some!
The lovely and talented Mrs. Seat of her Pants picked this beauty up for me the other day, and I get to try it out for the first time tonight. I’m excited, I really am!
Pictured is a Tramontina 6.5 qt. casserole. 100% enameled cast iron, heavy as a car, and even though it’s not mentioned anywhere on the product specs, it’s also self-basting!
It’s like I died and went to kitchenware heaven.
I’ll let Y’All know how well it performs in my next installment.

Anything I can slow cook something in is cause for a celebration! I’m not sure why they labeled it as a casserole, at this size it’s a dutch oven, and that’s what I plan on using it as.
